• A few days later at the strip club, I’m so nervous I think I’m going to be sick. I know Damon is in Jack’s office watching me through the security camera, but it doesn’t ease my stress any. Jack may be a greedy jerk, but he’s one of the few business owners in the Blue Moon clan who is loyal to his pack. He’s from the old ways and used to tell me how great things were before Jones’ people took over. Damon knew Jack would help us, especially when he was offered some free moonshine to sell in his club once the legal liqueur got up and running.
• They have me waiting in the champagne room, and one of the women from the Crestwood’s people came to work undercover to seduce the humans to go into the VIP area to meet me. The humans who know about shifters are the only ones who dare enter this place, so Elmer and his sleazy friends were all for having his party here. The dirty old man comes here about every other day, anyway, harassing one of the girls. He has a thing about snorting lines of coke off the stripper’s ass who are stupid enough to take him up on it. He’s seriously the most disgusting creature on earth.
