Chapter 72 - Courage Gathering

• Daisy POV -
• I’m going to ask Joe tonight, I have it all planned. I spoke with Gail a little while ago, asking her to prepare a tray for Joe and I, so we can eat in our room. Her reaction was stranger than I had expected, the grin on her face when I put in my request spoke of something, though what I have no clue.
• Joe has been out all morning with the pack, training group after group, and I have spent the morning putting the finishing touches on our new suite in the new pack house. Not many people are sleeping there yet as the last of the paint is being applied and the electrics are being installed, so that should give us some added privacy, though every room is specially sound proofed, nobody needs to be able to hear their next door neighbour doing the nasty night after night….ya know… So I have had out bed built, as well as our other furniture, I have hung the drapes, installed the lamps, filled the bookcase, plumped the cushions, arranged photos of our loved ones, Joe had brought some with him of his family, they stand pride of place on our mantle piece for now, though we will move them as we gather more photos. I hung a beautiful landscape of Forest Haven that Carly sent to me. It arrived this morning and now hangs over the fireplace, which is now fully stocked with wood and ready to be lit. I have some scented candles dotted about the room, a mixture of Apple Blossom, Vanilla and Sandalwood, our unique scents for one another. Everything is in place, now all I need is for Joe. The nerves are starting to get to me so I spend the next 2 hours pottering around in our new vegetable garden then I pop over and visit with the cows which were delivered and old man Silas who knows about cattle raising. We talk for a bit about the older pups who have shown an interest in the project and finally I head over to Dave to update him and check in, see if he needs anything from his Beta. Finally, with nothing else to do I head back to our suite and send Joe a text to let him know I am here. Just as I hit send, a knock at the door sounds. When I open it, I am surprised to see Gail standing there with 2 other girls from the kitchens, all carrying a tray each, laden with food and drinks.
