Chapter 39 - Twin Bond

• Back at Twin Lakes pack, Dave was making his way down to the prison cells to talk to some of the rogues that had been captured when he felt his sister’s distress. Twins, like Mates, have a special bond that links them together, the closer the twins are emotionally, the stronger the bond between them, they are able to sense when the other is suffering physically and sometimes even emotionally. Since Dave and Daisy were about as close as siblings could be, their bond was still tethering them to one another, even across the great distance that currently separated them. Since the Moon Goddess had granted them the gift of mind link, they had worked hard to build a wall between them to soften the emotional connection they shared. This was not done because they wanted to hide things from one another, that was not something either of them had ever considered, it was because every little emotion had become heightened and affected the other in an almost physical way, so they had agreed that they would only allow small amounts of their feelings to each other in the hopes of not distracting the other from whatever they might be doing at the time.
• Bearing this in mind, Dave was almost knocked off of his feet when Daisy’s block came down fully and he was bombarded with the sensation of being trapped, of being pulled in multiple directions, and there was another emotion coming through their bond that he couldn’t decide if it was joy or devastation, it seemed to be swinging like a pendulum from one to the other in very quick succession. He knew the emotions were coming from Daisy, and he knew there was little he could do to help her, what with them being so far apart, but that didn’t stop him from panicking, from worrying about her. If anything, the distance between them made it even harder to bear as he knew there was nothing he could do to help her.
