Chapter 8 7: Madness Begins
- I was pacing back and forth in my room after Arcel brought me back home. His words were lingering in my mind. We didn't talk much after he said he would change my preference in men.
- Can he really do that? Well, I know I'm defeated there because—I held onto my chest and listened to the rapid beating of my heart. It wasn't racing because of my pacing earlier. It was fast because of my thoughts about Arcel.
- I shouldn't be thinking about him. My attention should be on Taddeo. Taddeo is the one Alethea will marry, so I should be close to him, not to his brother. I shouldn't be like this with Arcel either. This feeling I have is terrifying.
