Chapter 42 The FiancéE's Dilemma
- I explained to Arcel what Taddeo and I are doing, but this asshole has selective hearing and only listens to what he wants to hear. Sometimes, he pretends to go along with Taddeo's charade, but... sometimes I feel like he thinks his brother will steal me away, and it hurts me that his brother is playing mind games with me. I didn't tell Arcel about the part of our deal with Taddeo because... maybe I'm scared of the questions, questions that I'm not ready to answer yet.
- We decided to go to the beach. At first, everything seemed fine, but Taddeo seems unable to resist getting close to Beatrice. I couldn't help but grimace. Why does it seem like he's still head over heels for his ex? Oh well, it's his problem now.
- Beatrice is a nice person. She smiles at me, knowing that I am Taddeo's fiancée. I was expecting something more... hostile? But maybe it's not in her nature to get angry or resent people who haven't done anything wrong to her, which I appreciate about her. If I weren't in this fake situation, I'd want her to be my friend.
