Chapter 8

  • "Make sure you take care of my daughter-in-law and my grandchild if you don't want to get it from me."
  • That was from my mother-in-law. Gretta.
  • Gretta.
  • I finally know her name. Her name suits her though. I didn't know until Alpha Walter said it himself.
  • "He wouldn't dare hurt her." Alpha Walter concluded.
  • I was limping. Of course, it was a result of the sex we had in the morning. He lasted over two hours. I had to lie to William's parents that I slipped in the bathroom. It would be embarrassing to tell them it was their child's fault I was walking this way. I felt sore and swollen. He knew what he did and he held my hand to prevent me from falling.
  • Alan, Liam, Sienna, Daniella, Jake, and Jace followed behind. They have now become more than brothers to William. They are like family now and I love how it is. I love that we all live a comfortable life. We are living in peace right now. No qualms.
  • After greetings, and everything, we got into our respective cars and we went back home. But I was surprised. We didn't go back to the palace we came from. We went to a different place entirely. A different palace to be precise. That was where we went to.
  • It was much bigger, larger than the one we came from. Our luggage had been transported down here for us. So we will live here from now on. Entering into the room, it was much larger and the bed could contain ten people. The bathroom was the size of the large room at the former palace. The royal house. Everything was good in it.
  • "Do you like this place?" He asked me.
  • "Yes, it's so beautiful." I giggled and he smiled.
  • "You are so cute!" He said pulling my cheek.
  • "Ouch! It hurts. It hurts." I muttered and he kissed my lips.
  • "I am sorry." He said in between kisses and he began to kiss me so hard that I was scared that it would lead to us getting on the bed. I pulled away quickly. I was still feeling sore and it doesn't help if he gets hard again. I don't know what to do. And he seems uncontrollable when he is horny. He noticed what I did and why I did that.
  • "C'mon. I know you are exhausted. I won't disturb you or force you into doing things with me. Never!" He said and wrapped his hands around my waist.
  • "Good thing you know."
  • "I want to tell you something you know," He said as I unpacked our things. As I walked around, he followed me around. I turned to him and he stopped.
  • "What is it?" I asked.
  • "Don't you want to sit and..."
  • "I am exhausted" I replied.
  • *** WRITER'S POV ***
  • Bridget is walking through the park, enjoying the sunshine. She's seven months pregnant, and she can feel the baby kicking inside her. As she walks, she hears footsteps behind her. Turning around, she sees William, jogging towards her. He's grinning from ear to ear, his eyes sparkling.
  • "Bridget, I have something to ask you," he says, taking her hands in his.
  • It's a cosy little place, with a big backyard and a comfortable living room. Bridget is relaxing on the sofa, reading a book, when she hears the front door open and close. She looks up to see William standing in the doorway, holding a bouquet.
  • "These are for you," he says, smiling.
  • She stood up and collected them.
  • She muttered a "thank you."
  • Bridget and William embrace, and for a moment, they just stand there, holding each other close. They've been through so much together, and this moment feels like a celebration of their love and their future. Finally, Bridget pulls away and looks into William's eyes.
  • "I love you," she says.
  • "I love you too," he replies.
  • Bridget feels her heart skip a beat as William takes a deep breath.
  • "Bridget, will you marry me?" he asks, his voice trembling slightly. Bridget feels tears forming in her eyes, and she can't help but smile.
  • Bridget's joy is tempered by a sudden wave of uncertainty. Is she ready for marriage? Is she ready to commit herself to one person for the rest of her life? She looks at William, who is still smiling, oblivious to her hesitation.
  • "I... I need some time to think about it," she says finally.
  • "Of course," William replies, his smile faltering a little. "Take all the time you need."
  • After a few minutes of silence, Bridget looks at William again.
  • "Actually," she says,
  • "I don't need any time. I'm ready to say yes." William's face lights up, and he grins from ear to ear.
  • "Are you sure?" he asks. "Absolutely," Bridget replies.
  • "I love you, and I can't wait to marry you." And with that, they seal their promise with a kiss.
  • They kissed each other. The kiss feels like a promise, a declaration of their love and their commitment to each other. When they finally pull apart, Bridget and William just look at each other, their eyes full of happiness and hope for the future.
  • "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you," William says, his voice soft and full of emotion. Bridget just smiles and nods, too overcome with happiness to speak.
  • Fast forward to the wedding day. Bridget was standing in front of the mirror all dressed up and dolled up in her wedding gown.
  • Bridget stands in front of the mirror, taking in her reflection. She feels like a princess in her wedding gown, a white silk confection with delicate lace detailing. Her hair is swept up in an elegant style, and she wears a veil that trails down her back. She's never felt more beautiful. A knock on the door interrupts her reverie, and she turns to see her mother-in-law standing in the doorway.
  • "Oh, Bridget," her mother says, tears in her eyes,
  • "You look stunning."
  • ……..
