  • She had not expected Bridget to react so strongly, to fight back in any way. Bridget pushed herself up from the floor, her face contorted in pain and anger. She glared at Chrisella, her eyes burning with hatred.
  • "You have no right to do this to me," Bridget said, her voice trembling with rage. "I am not leaving without talking to William."
  • Bridget's head was pounding, a throbbing ache that seemed to grow with each passing moment. She tried to stand up, but her legs felt like jelly, weak and unstable. She leaned against the wall for support, struggling to stay upright.
