• The days following Isis’ breakdown were the hardest to watch and he felt like it was all his fault. Hell, he knew it was. He broke her, just like he had broken himself. She barely spoke and spent most of her time secluding herself away from everyone. Gage allowed her space to gather her thoughts known they need space to figure our what was going on betweenthem. He needed the separation too, to think about what he was going to do from now, going forward. He couldn't deny it any more, he wanted her and it was getting to me more that physical. He needed a real connection.
• Gage had two paths to choose from. He could open his heart again and leave himself open to love, or he could continue the road to self-destruction. In Isis’s turmoil, he was seeing how she wasn’t the only one in pain. He had to deal with his past and let go of the hurt. It was the only way he was ever going to move forward. Gage decided the one thing was in the way of him, and Isis’s happiness was his need for control. He was hurting the one person in his entire life he trusted to love him.
• In the next few weeks, he didn’t hide the fact he and Isis were in a relationship once they went back on the road. It was up to him to decide if it was going to be real or just a facade. To Isis’s surprise, Gage had seemed to open to her more. He convinced her to make up with Wraith and talked to the brothers, convincing them the relationship with Isis wasn’t just sex. He didn’t get into details but let them know they were involved and taking things slow.
