Chapter 5

  • A week later, at IWX Wednesday night televised show, Davis instructed Gage he had no choice but to allow Isis to join the Justice team. Knowing how stubborn Gage was, he insisted on doing his best to welcome the new girl.
  • Gage was a go-getter and business-minded. Even though he would fight against Isis joining their crew, he would eventually come around to his way of thinking. Gage would realize it was good for business in the long run. Davis trusted it was a good business decision, so no matter what, it was happening.
  • Cyrus and Wraith agreed to let Isis make her own path once she signed her contract. Agreeing to not interfere in her progress at work, so long as no one tried to bully or harass her. They had seen it plenty of times in the past. Isis was a pushover and the IWX roster was like a rabid pack of wolves regarding new talent. They would be relentless at taunting her if they found one ounce of weakness. The brothers would keep their distance with a watchful eye.
  • Gage was not happy about this new little vixen coming into the faction he created. He was the leader of the group, and he ran things. His only roadblock was his boss Davis, who ruled like a mad scientist of the wrestling world. He knew his boss was only looking out for his business, and it wasn’t a personal attack, but things were going to be tough, and he didn’t like change.
  • Gage agreed with Davis in one aspect. Isis had the potential to be a great wrestler. He figured if he had to have her involved, he would show Isis exactly what Justice was all about, not allowing some random women to step in without working for her spot. Isis was a rookie placed with the top faction in the company. It was unheard of in their line of work to just walk in and not pay your dues. She would have to prove her worth in the ring. And to him.
  • It was time for IWX Wednesday Night Fights. Gage and Jacob had dressed in their typical three-piece suits with matching cocky swagger. They were the cream of the crop and put their best foot forward for the fans. No one even came close to how over these men were with fans and other wrestlers. Even as a group of heels, fans loved them. The Justice crew was what every wrestler dreamed of being.
  • Gage had his championship belt draped over his shoulder with a random woman clinging to the other. The men sauntered through the backstage area like they owned the place. Several ladies followed behind like a parade to their ego. Making their way down the corridor, they flirted with women who were hanging out backstage as they headed toward their locker room, in typical Justice faction style.
  • It was the first hour of the show and they did not know when the new girl was to make her first appearance. The group still had not met Isis in person since Gage had no interest in knowing anything about her. Secretly, he hoped she didn’t even show up to work at all.
  • Less women. Less drama.

  • Isis always had a sexy but creative look to her stage persona, and Davis Preston took it to the next level. He was a genius in setting the stage for a great show and took it upon himself to make her new character become the most luxurious woman in the IWX. They were now competing with the show Wrestling Masters and would not let a new brand show them up. IWX was still the top promotion in the world, and he planned to stay there.
  • Isis’ stage persona was the personification of what Justice represented; wealth, fame, and excess. Her opulent style against her soft porcelain skin gave an air of sophisticated elegance with a heavy touch of sex appeal.
  • Isis’ long, straight, dark brunette hair draped over her shoulders with long extensions, making her hair reach past her waist for dramatic effect. She wore a white knee-length fur that draped over her elbows, to show off the underlying rhinestone bodysuit that shimmered under the lights. Additional rhinestone jewelry draped her body like a goddess.
  • She sat, trying to calm herself in the rhinestone-covered custom luxury car. Shivering uncontrollably from her lack of body covering and nervous
  • Davis rented it for her big debut, matching her outfit perfectly. Excitement radiated from her with a hint of stage fright.
  • She heard her cue to get the car rolling over the speaker the stage crew had placed inside the car.
  • Showtime!
  • Driving to her camera spot in the parking garage, a valet helped Isis from the car. In her Isis Queen of Goddesses mindset, cameras flashed around her. The camera crew followed her every move as she made her way inside. Tonight, she felt like the rich, powerful, sexy woman who never took no for an answer. She was not the same timid Isis tonight. No. She was a goddess.
  • Isis was overwhelmingly nervous for her first time on live TV but tried to not let it show. Her body was trembling so violently she thought the rhinestones would fly off her costume like a dog shaking off water from its coat.
  • What made things more nerve-wracking, she knew what was coming. Her first meeting with Gage Stone, the man that consumed her fantasies for years. She wasn’t sure about being with the Justice faction since Gage had not tried to even attempt to welcome her. This entrance would surely solidify she was now living her dream at IWX but could be a disaster if he didn’t accept her. At that moment, her goal was to impress Gage, knowing he was a ladies man, hoping the overtly sexy outfit would surely gain his attention.
  • She tried to continue to tell herself, thinking, “Don’t screw this up.”

  • Cyrus and Wraith sat backstage, watching on the monitor as their younger cousin made her way into the arena. Wraith was more relaxed than his overprotective brother, knowing they trained Isis well. Not just in the ring, but in her personal life, as well. She was not as timid as she once was and had grown to be a strong, independent woman. Tonight, was her chance to prove how much personal growth she had made over the years. He knew she could overcome her fears and being on live TV was one of them.
  • “You know, Cy, Gage is going to give her shit. He told me he didn’t want to have a woman with their crew.“ Wraith laughed to himself, knowing how sassy Isis was when provoked. “Old boy doesn’t know what our girl is really about. She will feed his ass to him if he gets out of line. Isis can be a firecracker when she gets mad enough. Maybe she will set him back on the straight and narrow.”
  • She was usually shy and reserved, but when the goddess mode was in effect, she was a different person. Deep down, he was secretly as worried as Cyrus was. Although he would never admit it, maybe his brother was right all along. This could be a bad idea.
  • “I should have never talked her into this.” Cyrus wrung his hands together while focused on the backstage television monitors.
  • “Brother, it’s too late to cry over spilled milk. Isis has a good head on her shoulders. She can do this.”
  • Cyrus watched as she exited the extravagant luxury car, and his eyes went wide with shock. “What the hell is she wearing? She barely has anything on but that damn coat!” Cyrus yelled while trying to cover Wraith’s eyes.
  • Wraith moved his fingers, looking through them with a whistle. “Wow, look at sexy mama. Good for her. Cyrus, chill out. She has more on than most of the tricks around here.”
  • “She’s not a trick. She’s our damn cousin. What would her dad say if he was still alive?”
  • Wraith just shrugged, blowing it off. “He would say what we already know. She’s a star.”
