Chapter 26 Theo's Mother's Return: A Tense Reunion
- Hazel looked at Jessica's face, trying to find strength within herself. "Aunt, I know this is difficult. But I'm sure Theo can get better. He's not the type of person to give up easily," Hazel said with confidence, though her heart was slightly unsettled. She didn't want to give up, but sometimes, she felt as if hope was becoming thinner and thinner.
- "Alright. I hope you can take care of Theo," Jessica said, her voice softer but full of emphasis, as if there was a great hope contained within her words. Hazel gave a small smile, though it felt somewhat forced. She knew very well that nothing was harder than taking care of someone who was respected by so many, like Theo, especially when his condition still hadn't fully improved.
- Suddenly, a familiar voice broke the silence. "Mom? Why are you here? Since when did you come back?" Theo asked, his voice filled with confusion, even a bit of surprise. His eyes were fixed on the figure of the woman who had just arrived, none other than his mother, Jessica. Her strong face looked so different from the worried expression now filling her features. Theo clearly felt uncomfortable with his mother's sudden appearance.
