Chapter 5 Agreement Of Alpha

  • Nope
  • "I—I have no idea what Blood of Wolfsbane is." I mumble He gives me a scowl. "Your brother claimed you were knowledgeable about plant differences." "I" was at a loss for words. Not entirely; I could not recall. "The blood of wolves is the blood that wolves consume." There will be a red tint to the foliage. Since it cannot be freely grown, I find it impossible that a youngster could understand what it is. The tale of your brother doesn't add up. Yes. "Neah, I won't give up until I figure out who did this." His scarlet eyes avert.
  • "I'll hold them accountable for the pain you've gone through." Seated on the edge of his desk, he observes me intently. "You really need to visit someone about the infection right now. I didn't say anything because I was still processing his news that I had been set up. Why hadn't my brother thought of it before?" Please come. I'll take you through our bedroom. Before we see the pack doctor, you can take a shower. Frozen to the spot, I don’t move. Did he just say ‘our bedroom,’? Meaning that we have a shared bedroom? I suppose he believes that since I am his contract bride, he can have sex with me whenever he pleases. The idea sends a shiver down my spine.
  • I look up and notice him observing me. He's waiting for me at the open door. I make sure my dress covers me and go out into the corridor. There was silence in the hallways and no one in the area. Alpha Dane would explain to me what each area was as we went, but he seems more concerned with getting me to the bedroom. Like the rest of the home, his bedroom is enormous and has a ton of windows. The wall was pressed against the bed. around it in every way. Light curtains hung from the ceiling, drawn back at the foot of each bed.
  • What shocked me the most was that the bath and the shower were in the same room. The bathroom was the only one in a tiny room beside the shower. Absolutely no privacy. He seemed unconcerned about that, though. The sensation of his warm breath against my skin gives me the chills. You have nothing to fear. He would be able to detect the shifts in my emotions even though I couldn't smell him. He crosses the room, opens the shower's glass door, and flips the water on. The steam from the shower instantly fogged up the window the soon he closed the door. And yet I can't help but feel terrified.
  • He did not indicate to me what he expected from me. "Hi." His jagged fingertips make me pucker. "I'll let you take a peaceful shower for now since it's just the two of us." He takes his phone out of his pocket, plays around with it, then sets it down on the bedside table as he walks away. "There is a 10-minute alert set. I'll return at that time. Just stay in the towel; I'll get you something to wear. Recognize? I merely nod while he looks at me expectantly.
  • Shower for fifteen minutes. Back home, I was lucky to get a minute of shower time, and the water was never warm. He approaches the door and peers back over his shoulder at me while resting his hand on the doorknob. "Neah, I truly wish you would speak up more. After Alpha Dane leaves me alone, I race to the shower with the feeling that I'm dreaming and that I'm in some sort of magical country. Perhaps it was. Perhaps I was going to wake up in my home's basement.
  • As I lather the shampoos and soaps across my body, they smell amazing. I've never felt my hair so clean, too. The hot water burned into my stomach wound, but I didn't mind because it was worth it. I freeze when I hear someone in the room clear their throat. I'm grateful to Steam for keeping me somewhat anonymous. Yes, are you finished? The alarm five minutes ago went off. Here, Alpha Dan's voice seems to be more audible. I had been so engrossed in the liberating experience of a straightforward shower that I had failed to notice the alarm or the Alpha returning to the room. "On the way." Shutting off the water and covering myself with a towel to conceal the unsightly thing beneath, I murmur.
  • As soon as I step outside, my torn dress, soiled sandals, and underwear are gone from the floor. Alpha Dane is sitting on the edge of the bed, with a pair of trainers and what appear to be folded clothes on his lap. "It's not much because none of us have a waist as small as yours." As he transferred the clothing, he grinned. joggers and a navy blue sweater that match. "For now, you'll have to settle for going without the underpants. Should arrive here right away tomorrow. I get the joggers on, tug the sweater over my head, and take off the towel while he observes me with a raised eyebrow.
  • I wasn't like that; maybe he was used to women throwing themselves at him or displaying themselves in front of him because he has authority. " Lead the way." He gets up, and I get up with him this time. Something told me he would get upset if I didn't get this wound checked up. Unlike the doctor back home, who was elderly and reluctant to allow anybody else to take over, the pack doctor was youthful. She puts her dark hair back in a bun and beams at us as we walk into the packed hospital. "This is Neah, Raven." Alpha Dane grinned as she introduced me.
  • I don't look up when I hear Raven say, "Alpha Dane, aside from the weird smell she brought with her, what seems to be the problem?" It sounded more like a curious remark than the nasty one I was used to. "When she finds her tongue, she will tell you herself." "I'm wounded," I mumble. "And you're not getting better?" Confused, Raven queries, "I have lost my wolf." It hurt to say that. It served as a continual reminder of my outcast status.
  • "When she was a child, her wolf was bound." Dane Alpha informs her. That explains why her smell is off. Her Wolf is there, imprisoned and awaiting release. As my gaze lifts, I see him looking directly back at me. I'd always thought my Wolf was lost. Not that she felt imprisoned. Raven's shadowy gaze lingers over me. "Whoa, that's right." She takes hold of my hand. "Come this way, and let's examine your wound. She takes me into a vacant room, where she instructs me to lie down on the bed and demonstrate my injury to her. Just enough of the sweatshirt was pulled up to allow her to see the wound.
  • Her gaze widens as she takes in the infected wound and the surrounding bruising, a flicker of wrath crossing over them. She gently presses her fingertips over the wound. "What was the duration?" "A couple of days." Though I wasn't sure, I muttered. Each rhythm blended into the next. A good day was any day I wasn't hit. Raven gives a headshake. "The infection has had at least a week to develop; this is more than just a few days ago." "Yes, you must be honest with us." Orders from Alpha Dane "I'm not sure."
  • "Nah!" I squint as his booming voice echoes through me, scared of his wrath. Pain came from punishment, and anger brought punishment. "I swear, I'm not sure. The beatings occur so frequently that they just sort of... I always get bruises. I was too scared to open my eyes because of the silence. I used to wonder who would ever find out who didn't already know, as Alpha Trey had repeatedly stated that if anyone found out, he would make my life much more miserable. Here I was, sitting in the hospital of another pack, telling the truth.
  • "Heal her up!" After what seems like an eternity, Alpha Dane yells. Taking his phone out of his pocket, he storms out of the room. "My brother, you must forgive me. He gets angry easily, especially about stuff like these. Raven murmurs softly as she examines my wound. "Your sibling?" I open my eyes and whisper. Ah, I see that he told you. He probably failed to mention that Jenson is also our brother. Shaking my head, I assume Jenson was among the men who visited my brother's residence. She laughs. "We think of Jason as our brother's Gamma."
  • "Gamma?" I was unfamiliar with the phrase. Yes, and I work here, and Alpha Dane has mixed feelings about me. He knows that I'm skilled at this, so he wants me to represent our family. She reaches into the computer for a pot of cream. It is now necessary to apply this three times daily. It should eradicate the infection; if it hasn't improved in a few days, I'll check it again. My brother is waiting outside for you. "Gratitude." I muttered as I took the cream pot away from her. I tried to read the label, but I was unable to do so. I was not proficient at reading.
  • I dash out to see Alpha Dane on his phone, and she bows her head at me. yelling at someone. He wonders what Raven said and hangs up as soon as he sees me. "Avoid sugar three times a day." I present the pot to him, and he accepts it from me. "Good, please come." I had to sprint after him as he took off. "Show me," I say as I trail him through the home and into the office. He gives an order. taking off the pot's lid. He'd used the identical tone just moments before ripping my dress open, so it wasn't going to be negotiable.
  • He squats in front of me, slowly raises his sweater, and applies the cool cream to the wound. "No, please don't lie to me. Never. That's what you need to tell someone if you can't remember. Is that understood correctly? I prefer not to have to speculate as to what you mean. "All right." I was too engrossed in the feel of his hands to say anything else. One holds me firmly by pressing against my lower back, and the other slowly massages cream into my wound. I had only ever been beaten by another man. That was all. "Leave your breath behind." As he stands up, he tells me. "I promise not to harm you." With my past, it seemed hard to believe. The way he was acting and speaking simply didn't feel genuine.
