• She was back to her defensive mode. She didn't say much, and when she did, it was usually "yes," "no," or that awful phrase, "I'm fine." I can't even recall what I said because she had shut down entirely. All I had told her was the truth. Was she able to handle the truth? Raven faces me in my office.
