Chapter 10 Agreement Of Alpha
- "It's true that Trey's wolf had a name too." As he steps inside the bedroom, he murmurs. I'm left scratching my head, trying to figure out what he said. "He never, ever brought it up." The red eyes of Alpha Dane meet mine. He believed me to be lying. The way he stared at me told me that. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to avert the stare. It felt like he was pressuring me to look at him without even making physical contact. Was it just Alpha, or could others do that as well? My voice becomes hardly audible. "I promise." There wasn't anything more I could say. "I'm... I'm being honest."
- He's staring into my eyes, and I stammer. "All right." He mutters, although it felt like he didn't believe me. "And I suppose you never got to meet your wolf because of your binding?" I give a headshake. When we turn thirteen, they arrive. That much is known to me. He scowls but stays silent. My body finally relaxes as he looks away, but as soon as he does, I feel a sharp agony shooting through my stomach. I ignore it and remain motionless, observing Alpha Dane as he moves around the bedroom. It appeared as though he was speaking with someone. This Aero, perhaps?
- I was full of questions. Did he harbor an Aero within him? When he switches, what happens? He brought up control. When Aero shifted, was he in complete control? Anyone who could shift, as far as I knew, just shifted. They did not change into anybody else. Alpha Dane kept moving in the bedroom in a figure-eight pattern. I touch my stomach with my hand. And it feels like my skin is on fire through the material of my top. My own heart pounding wildly in my chest reminds me of the first time I left Moonshine. My mouth is dry, and my hands feel clammy.
