Chapter 35 Agreement Of Alpha

• "All right. That's out of the way now. You're welcome to accompany me." He extends an expectant hand and waits patiently for me to receive it. "Where are you taking me?" I whisper as a sharp wave of terror sweeps through me. "I told you, training would start when you are healed." He maintains his hand on mine as we go around the property. I wasn't sure whether or not he was attempting to make a point. I didn't care; there was comfort in his warm fingers. As we proceed, I notice Beta Eric standing outside a tiny structure with just one door and no windows, silently wondering where it disappeared. Pushing open a pair of doors, Alpha Dane enters a gym.
• There were already a lot of sweaty men and women there. "Everyone out!" Alpha Dane gives the order. They gather their belongings and leave the premises one by one until it's only the two of us. He leads me to the mats and says, "Right," turning me around. "Make a fist." He shakes his head as I ball up my hand. "Give me a thumbs up." He waits while I follow instructions. "Now wrap your thumb around the outside." "If you punch someone with your thumb on the inside, you will break it," he says, grabbing my newly formed fist. Even though you're not going to get better, I would rather not have to take you to the hospital any more."
• Alpha Dane suggests that it might be best to teach me how to block assaults first after witnessing me hit a punch bag a few times. If I hadn't consented, my frustration would have increased. Barely had the punch bag moved. He takes the time to instruct me in self-defense against frontal assaults. However, I remain motionless as soon as he comes around me and puts his arms around me. I was losing myself in the warmth that surrounded me. "Neah, are you going to try and do something?" As he talks in my ear, his minty breath brushes against my skin. One hand is flat against my stomach, the other locking my shoulders firmly in place. "Earth to Neah?"
