Has there never been a shift in front of you? I give a headshake. I was aware of its ridiculousness. Before the attack here, even though I was raised in a wolf pack, I had never seen a shift. "You know it's weird?" Raven queries, "Never?" He asks me once more.

His expression displays a brief moment of rage. "Being abused is not a profession." The room remained silent for a time, and the only sound I could hear was the pounding of my own heart. "My sibling had a guideline. Moving was only permitted outside of the trees. I give a shoulder shrug. "I never ventured into the woods." Red-eyed Alpha Dane shuts his eyes. "Even when they hurt you, they never changed." "No." His eyes snap awake.
