Chapter 1 Agreement Of Alpha
- Nope
- "Where in the world is she?" The Beta lets forth a scream. As the only house servant, I was aware that Beta Kyle was referring to me. With a moan, I stand up and pick up the cleaning basket, carrying it with me. As soon as Beta Kyle sees me, he comes charging at me, slashing my cheek with his hand. I don’t say anything. I've learned through years of experience to never speak until someone else speaks to me, even if what they're doing to me hurts. "I'm expecting company, Alpha Trey, and you still haven't cleaned the office like I asked."
- Kyle The beta spits at me. I give a nod, gripping the cleaning basket tighter. If only I had the guts to strike it directly at his head. That would brighten my day. I refused, telling him that I didn't need to be locked up for a week without food because he was stronger than me. It stung enough in my stomach already. Our goal is to leave a positive impact on Alpha Dane. Are you not aware of how crucial it is that we unite with his pack? I choose not to respond, as I am aware that it is a ruse to elicit a response from me so he can justify punishing me.
- I avert my gaze from his face by keeping my eyes down. Alpha Dane, All I had ever heard about him were rumors. When I was in the room, the other pack members were speaking to each other. I could see he was a vicious man, a wolf that other people dreaded. He had the biggest pack and didn't play around. "He is the leader of the largest pack on the planet, Black Shadow, as its Alpha. We must have him! Beta Kyle goes on. He doesn't, however, explain why. Why did we need another pack to assist us when neither of us had ever assaulted anyone?
- With his hands on my shoulders and his claws cutting into my thin skin, he spins me around and gives me a kick to the ass while pushing me in the direction of the office. "Useless asshole Wolf." He walks away, muttering. Closing the door silently, I recline against it and survey the spotless office. Nothing was out of place, and everything appeared ideal for a meeting with this supposedly strong Alpha. I shut my eyes. I scuttle to the ground. This was a house I detested. I believed that I would be able to leave when I became eighteen, yet here I am, still a slave in my own house, four years later.
- doing all the grubby work for the pack, my brother Alpha Trey, and me. Beta Kyle, my ex-partner, waltzes around telling me how useless I am. I freeze, believing that I'm alone, until I hear someone clear their throat. I lean forward and observe, just around the corner, a very attractive man seated on a chair. With his foot resting on his knee, he is nursing an alcoholic drink. His eyes are a rich crimson, and his short, dark hair doesn't quite look right. With my heart pounding, I fling myself back against the door as they abruptly turn to face me and ask, "Is this how you greet all Alpha's?"
- His booming voice reverberates across the space, and his tone has a hint of humor. "I apologize." Whispering to myself, I stand up. "I... believed I was by myself." Even without my Wolf, I could sense the power emanating from him; I had no idea who he was. Why should he introduce himself? He doesn't do it either. "Move forward." I can already feel a lump rising in my throat as he gives me the instruction. Alpha Trey intended to murder me. I follow instructions and turn the corner so that he can see me clearly. I shut my eyes, bracing myself for the worst. “You smell funny. However, you are a wolf, right?"
- I nod, not sure how to anticipate his response. When people learned about me, the majority laughed. "It would be better if you talked to me." "I'm not in the mood to play games," he yells. "Yes." I mumble. I couldn't help but think about the penalties I would have to face. Perhaps a scolding? Hunger for an additional week? "Why do you have an odd smell? Furthermore, how could you possibly be unaware that I was in the room? You ought to have smelled me. "l." [despised the query] "I don't have all day, so spit it out!" He takes a sip of his beverage.
- I knew why I was unable to smell him. I understood why I had missed his presence, but I had never desired or enjoyed explaining it to others. My side of the story is never allowed to be told. They just laugh at me and make fun of me. "When you are speaking with someone, you ought to open your eyes. It is impolite to ignore them. Have you learned nothing from your Alpha? I get a chill from his deep voice. Gradually. I lowered my eyes after opening them; I was not going to make eye contact. I mutter, "My Wolf abilities were bound." I wanted to add twice. My powers were limited twice. That section, too, was probably uninteresting to him.
- Gently, he tilts his head forward and sets his glass on the little table beside the chair. I felt his gaze lingering on me. Why would somebody act in that way? I realized that if my brother was going to meet with this Alpha, I could ruin everything for him by talking too much. "That served as a penalty." I mumble. It was the most straightforward response I could provide, but it wasn't far from the whole truth. A tiny twitch appears in his cheek. Did the news of this sentence infuriate him? Or perhaps, like the others, he found it funny. I was unable to tell.
- My brother yells at me, "Yeah, what the fuck are you doing in my office?" as the door swings open. He looks up at the man with the red eyes. "Alpha Dane, I'm so sorry that my sister is upsetting you." Whoa, that was him. My sibling turns around, extending his hand to strike me. I prepare myself, ready to experience the heat, and close my eyes. If I were you, I wouldn't act in that way. The voice of Alpha Dane echoes through the space. I can see through the gaps that Alpha Dane has stood up and wrapped his hand around my brother's wrist. Compared to my brother, he was taller and had more muscle.
- "Nleah," he says effortlessly. "You weren't there to meet me at the front of your house as I had requested, so please show me to your office, Alpha < Trey." I'm glad someone was there—at least someone who knows how important this transaction is. How come? I didn't know what he was discussing. Moreover, he had no motive to tell me lies. My brother tightens his jaw and gives me a scowl. Later on, I was going to pay for this. I would have to attempt food theft. "Get Beta Kyle and go." Alpha Trey fumes. "Tell him we have a guest here."
- I give a nod and quickly exit the room because the last thing I wanted was to get stuck in the middle of two argumentative males. I whisper, "Beta Kyle," as I walk into the dining room. He glares at me right away, his dark eyes dark. I had spoken and not been heard. "Alpha Dane and Alpha Trey are at work." I came to let you know. He marches by me, glaring at me, and slaps the newspaper down on the table. "You wouldn't be seeing daylight for a few days, so it's a good thing the Alpha sent you to get me."
- He yanks my head back, pauses behind me, puts his fingers in my hair, and leans in close so I can feel his warm breath on my skin. He remains silent. It was merely a means for him to demonstrate his freedom to behave as he pleased. I make an effort to keep myself occupied in order to avoid being at the workplace as much as possible. When I hear my brother calling out to me, my moment of tranquility is short lived. I tiptoe silently over to the office, cracking a smile as I open the door. "Yes, let's celebrate; grab the champagne and a few glasses."
- I bowed my head and hurried to the bar. locating my brother's request quickly. I can feel Alpha Dane scrutinizing me every step as I reenter the office; in fact, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I'm never watched this intently by anyone. I start filling the glasses as I get closer to the little table near the Alpha Danes chair. Reminding me he can easily fill his own glass, he takes the champagne bottle from me. Not because of shame, but rather because I knew I would be punished for this, I can feel my cheeks burning.
- Ix ought to have acted sooner. Prior to entering the office, I need to have filed the glasses. I ought to have... When I see my brother gazing at me, my brain freezes. "Is Nah your sister, I understand?" My brother is questioned by Alpha Dane. "She is." Alpha Trey sighs with disdain. He glances past me to the man who is posing inquiries. "Why do you handle her so poorly?" Direct and to the point, that would not sit well with my brother. He likes to share knowledge only when it suits him.
- Since everyone enjoyed punishing me, no one had mentioned to my brother how he had treated me. I had no idea what to do. Even though I was immobile, I knew I had to leave the area. It would also be my fault if this agreement falls through due to my actions. "Yes, Nah caused our parents' deaths." Alpha Trey spits out I squeezed my eyes shut, fighting back the tears that were on the verge of spilling out. "How responsible is that?" The voice of Alpha Dane echoes through me. There was no denying his anger. "She gave them the bane of Wolf."
