- After staring at the ceiling for a few more minutes, I pick up my phone and call Sophie.
- ‘Ahoyhoy,’ she says, instead of hello.
- ‘I miss him, I miss Robert, and we’ll never be friends again,’ I say, and just saying the words aloud makes me so sad that I almost start crying. I control myself, however, and take a deep shaky breath.
