• “Holy fuck,” I gasped when I saw the one person I had not thought would show up to the airport. I turned to Taevon. “What the hell is she doing here?”
• He looked out of the airport windows to see what I was showing him and he hissed. It was clear he had not been expecting them to show up.
• “I have no idea, but we are about to find out,” he said, telling the driver who had driven us to the airport to stay with our bags and Zoey as we walked to confront Marcus and the unexpected guest he had brought.
