Chapter 35

• We climbed more than ten flights of stairs as I was beginning to see double. I had stopped doing my routine workout after giving birth to my first child. I thought I would not have to work any longer as I had guessed Marcus was from a rich family.
• I didn’t know that he was purposely distancing himself from his family. I didn’t know why and everytime I would ask for his reason why he was doing so, he would push me aside.
• He seemed to not be interested in the conversation and would shut me down with any chance he would get.
