- I awoke to the sound of a car revving from the garage. Using a pillow to cover up my ears, it did little to prevent the noise from getting to me and this got me worried that the person doing it was going to wake up Zoey.
- Struggling to my feet, I looked into the mirror to get my messy face in check before leaving the room.
