• A week had passed since my late-night discussion with Luciana and I hadn’t stopped thinking about her last words before she left. Gianna isn’t Mara, she never will be.
• If I wanted her to stay, I had to give her a good reason that wouldn’t make her want to leave if the chance ever arose.
