Chapter 20 Miscalculated

• Alessandro hadn’t been lying. The whole gang was giving me the cold shoulder after I disrespected him in front of Angelo.
• Despite getting the supplier back, it wasn’t enough to cover what they all took to be a blatant violation of the hierarchy law in the mafia.
• It had taken me quite a while but I was finally able to negotiate my position with Alessandro and I was being demoted to his secretary, taking down notes while being forbidden to speak at meetings.
