Chapter 23 A Small Confrontation

• “Do you mind telling me what that was all about?” Alessandro asked as soon as we got into the study. He was pissed but I didn’t know if his anger was directed at me or someone else.
• “I was standing up for myself, Alessandro. I was in control of the situation until Maya came in and I decided to leave instead of being ganged up on. Things took a nasty turn and then you arrived to dispel the whole thing.” I explained.
• “How’d you end up with him there in the first place?” Alessandro scowled.
