- I rushed over, pulling Sibel behind me, trying to shield her from the sight. The mother and child lay there, lifeless, with deep scars all over, it's an evidence of a rogue attack. My chest tightened, anger and sadness mixing as I took in the scene.
- Sibel didn’t flinch. Instead, she looked at them with such sympathy, her eyes soft, sadness clear. Her courage surprised me; she’d seen her share of battle, but this was different. These weren’t soldiers.. they were innocents.
