Chapter 27 Esthela

  • Esthela turned her head and stood up, remaining still as she observed her image reflected in the enormous mirror affixed to the wall. Indeed, she looked dreadful, smeared with mud from her time on the battlefield. She needed to change; if her parents were indeed alive, she wanted to spare them the fright or reproach upon seeing her in such a state. She hastened towards the bath, eager to immerse herself in the inviting tub adorned with green flowers.
  • Upon entering the bathroom, she couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "Wow, everything here is green!" She noted that her surroundings were awash with the colour, albeit in varying shades. No matter where she looked, no other hue presented itself. 'Leoric must be fond of green,' she mused, recalling his frequent laments about her lack of the colour for his drawings.
  • Shaking off the thought, Esthela submerged herself in the warm water that enveloped her in relaxation. It had been ages since she had luxuriated in a proper bath. The sensation was peculiar; something within her had shifted, as though all her senses had intensified.
