Chapter 11 Prince Erick

• The prince managed to convey to Esthela that she should stay put, gently pushing her towards a corner. She understood and curled up, terrified, wrapping herself in a thick bearskin. She imagined that the noise was caused by the enormous black dragon and that the deer were not its adversaries but rather its prey. When both vanished from her sight as they transformed back into dragons, which rendered them invisible, her fear intensified. In a final plea, she called out to them.
• "Please take care and return soon; I shall wait for you here and not leave!"
• Her promise filled the prince with joy, knowing she would be safe. Nonetheless, he cast a spell to prevent her from leaving the cave—or so he believed.
