- She sat down to have her lunch on one side of the narrow kitchen of the cafeteria, the least crowded with dishes. She was grateful to be alone and without noise around, as Bratt had called the kitchen manager to reprimand him, as usual. The abusive man used any trivial excuse or complaint from a customer to unleash his anger on one of them. She had not been immune to that. She sighed, chewing slowly. She had a knot in her stomach caused by anxiety. Her life seemed to have become a Russian roulette of emotions. She needed that time to compose herself and get her mind to reason and stop being in the clouds. He had come all the way here, to this place that surely he didn't even know could exist, to see her! Milo Monahan wanted to see her and had something to propose to her.
