Chapter 148 A Fresh Start
- Hanah rested peacefully in the huge and comfortable guest room bed, it had been a long time since she had slept so well, completely at peace without the constant worry of being discovered by someone, or being found by Ares Prokopis himself; her aunt Katherine had given her the confidence she needed for a long time, being able to count on someone was gratifying for her. No longer feeling abandoned, alone, and lost in the world lifted a great weight off her shoulders. She had had enough of her parents not supporting her, of her own sister Monique hating her to an extreme point that was both frightening and painful.
- She had always dreamed that her sister Monique would treat her as she did her friends, after all, they shared an unbreakable bond as genetics. But Monique made her true feelings towards her clear, and Hanah couldn't understand what she could have done to her sister for her to never show any affection. Hanah loved and admired her sister since she could remember, her sister Monique was her idol. After all, what younger sister doesn't admire her older sister. But over time, Hanah understood and accepted that her relationship with Monique would never change, that in some way she always saw her as a burden, an ugly and not blonde baggage she had to live related to all her life. Because if her sister Monique didn't hate her for not being like her: blonde and beautiful, Hanah had no idea why Monique hated her so much, she wasn't even half as beautiful as her older sister, she wasn't popular, or sociable, she had nothing special, except her great gift for getting into trouble. Hanah would have liked to have her sister by her side in those difficult moments in her life, someone to give her advice, words of encouragement, and yes; why not: "A hug", some gesture of encouragement that would let her know that she wasn't alone, and that things would soon be resolved, someone to help her find a solution and shed some light on her dark and stormy path.
- At first, she thought her aunt Katherine Hiddleton would kick her out and also that she would betray her to her parents. But seeing the genuine concern on her face, she knew she wouldn't. Her aunt Katherine was aware of the whole situation regarding why she had left Snowfiel, her father had told her everything, but Hanah had not yet told her side of the story, and now she had the courage to tell her everything without fear of being judged prematurely.
