Chapter 31 Family

• “You don’t have to say anything. Just know that I am here for you,” he said, his eyes filled with sincerity. “And from today, you are no longer the nanny for my kids; you are family.”
• My lashes fluttered with surprise upon hearing his words. “Family,” I repeated, not trusting my ears. It was a title I never expected to have; no one had ever made me feel like I belonged before.
• “Yes, family,” he confirmed, gently reaching out to squeeze my hand. “We care for you just as much as you care for us.”
