• Malachi didn’t stray from his normal routine. He went to his office and to court and kept to his appointments, clearing most of his cases. That worried me; he was clearing his schedule and he refrained from joining any meetings with me and James.
• I didn’t want Adara anywhere near the den on Friday night and for the first time in our lives I pulled rank on her as she insisted on being by my side. Adara, Christian and Shoran would spend the night with Robert and Malika.
