• Juniper winced as she shifted her weight. The spot where Christian had kicked her throbbed slightly. She held onto his hand tightly, feeling sorry for him as Kiran emptied the water bottle that was laced with mountain arnica and mistletoe.
• Christian screamed and cried as she pulled him back inside the warehouse. Juniper dragged him back to the room and he pulled out of her grip the moment she closed the door behind them. Christian’s eyes were red rimmed from all the crying.
• Juniper moved closer to Christian in an attempt to comfort him. “You have to eat something, you’ll feel better.”
