- The cloak he had on covered his entire frame, and he moved stealthily towards the path. Something had to be done to cover up his mess. How could she have gathered the courage to speak out? It's been years, and one would have thought she had gotten over it. If anyone decided to believe her, that would be the definite end for him. His reputation and everything he had worked for over the years would be taken away from him right under his nose.
- It was never his intention for things to turn out the way they did. He should have known she was a wild child. No one can blame him for how she turned out, but night howlers are emotional fools who would sympathize with a murderer if he knows how to tell a story. However, this was an entirely different case. He would not just be humiliated in front of the whole pack, but till the end of time, his entire generation would be spat on for committing such an abominable act. This wasn't about him; it was for the future. He assured himself.
