Chapter 74
- Alexander's POV...
- I watched her inhale and exhale; she looked extremely beautiful while sleeping. I don't think I have ever been so engrossed in watching a person sleep. Despite being unconscious, creases of worry weren't far from her fine lines. I had told her, but does she ever listen? It's one thing to be warned of a looming disaster and another to know damn well the bitter truth but still do whatever it is you want. I must admit Edwina is one hell of a stubborn woman. At the same time, she has the most tender heart I have ever come across.
- If I were in her position, I would either poison my sister slowly or just have her experience a miserable death. Turning away from her, I lay on my back, taking a deep breath. There are more impending situations abreast at the moment. Also, I can't help but think of Edwina and the turmoil her heart would be in at the moment. Somehow, I felt it was my place to do something. Not just to protect her but to also assure her that she did the right thing.
