Chapter 30
- Denzel stood by the window of his office, staring down into the streets of New York. He was completely lost in thought. It had been two days since he heard from Kate. He just couldn’t stop thinking about her after their encounter. It was an encounter that changed his whole perception of Kate. He had seen Kate as just his maid, someone who was supposed to be his servant, dominated and humiliated at will. But after his sexual encounter with her, he came to see her in a whole new light—as a beautiful soul who deserved to be adored and worshipped as a goddess. A beautiful queen meant to be served, not to serve. He berated himself emotionally for letting her slip through his fingers. He had her under his roof, yet he didn’t know her worth. He didn’t see it; he never bothered.
- “Oh, how I wish I could turn back the hands of time to the first day I met her, I could have just asked her to marry me.”
- Bingo! He exclaimed from within. That’s what he should do. Perhaps that way, Kate might understand that he didn’t lie when he told her that he loved her. But then came another question:
