Chapter 48 Leo

• I stood on my favourite balcony in the whole mansion. It had a great view of the city. Gentle breeze casually blowing by. I was waiting for Pete to bring Mae to me.
• I heard a thud and turned towards the stairs to see that Mae had stumbled on some steps. She got back on her feet and thankfully, she wasn't bleeding. Pete didn't help her up, he just stood behind her on the stairs and waited for her to get back up before proceeding.
• She was rubbing on her elbow which had kissed the floor when she fell but stopped when she looked up and saw me. I studied her reaction after seeing me and could tell that she was frightened the moment she set her eyes on me.
