• I watched as the curtains behind the wide French door closed and I could no longer see Leo or Pete. It was at that point that I knew I was in trouble.
• I looked down at the pool. The alligators didn't seem to know I was there yet because they were just still without any extra movements in the pool.
• My palms started to get sweaty so I held on to the rope tighter and blinked the tears in my eyes away since I couldn't wipe them away with my hands.
