• Fifty million. Fifty fucking million is what Lade's aide and some other guy placed on the separating table in between the sofas where Lade and Leo sat.
• Leo didn't count the money. Maybe because it was too much to start to count, I don't know but he didn't ask Pete to bother counting it. He just gave Lade an “If this isn't what you said it is, I'll kill you and take her back” look.
• I swear I'm still not certain of why Leo wants me to kill Lade when he could do ur himself. He had told me Lade's father murdered my father, so maybe this is me getting the revenge he forced me to train and prepare for.
