Chapter 67 The Taste Of Freedom
- When we were given food, I glanced at Izzie. She nodded in response, understanding what I meant. It was time to put our plan into action. I remembered Mason' words: they would only remove the chain from us while we are having a meal, and return it once we were done. At that moment, I could confront the guards.
- I checked if there were guards outside. I spotted a silhouette. My guess was that there were two guards outside, and one more with us during meal preparation, making a total of three.
- Seeing the size and armament of the man they had guarding us, I was unsure if my plan would work. However, I was willing to take the risk. I couldn't let Izzie and I spend another night here. If Leandro couldn't find this place, just as Mason claimed, I couldn't rely on anyone but myself. If Leandro did locate us, it might be too late. I had no time to wait, and I knew our lives, especially Izzie's, were in danger.
