• "I promise I'll do my best to find out," Emma replied.
• Harold had no choice but to trust Emma, but he was running out of patience. His reputation was at stake, and Donald had already put people's attention on him by paying a few individuals to testify against him. Harold needed solid evidence to clear his name.
• Donald, however, was in love with Emma but was afraid of revealing his true identity. He had hidden Ashley in the house and didn't want anyone to find out. He stopped Emma from coming to the house and planned to take her out on a fancy date.
