Chapter 17 Jealous

  • Marilyn gasped when the necklace of her dear grandmother came into view, dangling in front of her two fearful eyes as she watched it swing back and forth, back and forth. She was almost mesmerized by it.
  • "How are you having that? Who are you? How did you know I'm here? How are you related to my grandma?" She asked.
  • "I'm here for your grandmother's debts. She owe me a lot of money before she died. Since you are her granddaughter, you have to pay back in her steed," a man dressed cooly in black suit, tie and in an overcoat approached her with her grandmother's necklace as proof that he knew the old woman. Marilyn had seen her grandmother treat that ordinary necklace made from cheap wooden beads like a treasure. It was because it was given to her by her late husband, Marilyn's grandfather. It was a pity her grandfather died in an accident. Her grandmother was heartbroken until she fell sick and never recover.
