Chapter 16 Pathetic Gold Digger
- Marilyn opened her new refrigerator and found that she had no groceries. No groceries, no food, what's she's gonna eat for dinner? Outside food was a big no no because of how expensive it was. Sometimes Marilyn wondered how many people afford to eat outside when the food at home tasted better and homely? Not to mention, cheaper too.
- She never prided herself upon the fact that she was a good cook. Yeah, no kidding. Marilyn could cook as good as a five star chef at those fancy expensive hotels if given the chance and the right ingredients. Unfortunately, her budget never allowed her to go to that level. It was a waste of her godlike cooking skills.
- Marilyn made a trip to the local supermarket. She didn't own a car so she took the bus. The automatic sliding doors of the supermarket slid open and she was hit with the fresh air conditioned oxygen. So fresh! She started to hum a tune to herself, an old song her mother used to lullaby her to sleep.
