• Jeremy, who was my last hope to publicly embarrass Violet, was killed by Alpha Dane. I needed someone to show that she was so much beneath me. I spent a substantial amount of money on Jeremy and assured him he would be granted a more senior role in the pack once I became Luna of the White Fur pack. Now all I hoped was that Dane didn’t trace Jeremy to me.
• I paced my room and came to a stop in front of the window. I had been restless since the day they threw me out of the White Fur pack. The amount of humiliation I had to go through because of Violet was like a poison that left a bitter taste of shame on my tongue. It tore away my pride. There was not a minute I didn’t think about Violet. My obsession with bringing her down made it impossible for me to eat properly.
