- My momentary shocked stillness snapped when I watched him go inside the house. “What?” I wailed.
- He didn’t reply to me as he watched Mimzy coming out of Dave’s room. Mimzy appeared shocked, but she suppressed it instantly and gave a smile to Alpha Dane. “Hey Mimzy, how was your day?” he said to her charmingly. She blushed to the roots. And Mimzy had never blushed. Not at least in my presence.
