Chapter 1 Please, Save Me

• Night time. It was terrifyingly silent.
• It was a sweltering summer's night. A girl ran stumbling into an alley. Behind her, the sounds of those men swearing and shouting were getting closer.
• A glance back told her they were gaining on her. In her despair, she noticed a car parked at the alley entrance.
• Hope filled her. She ran towards the car and knocked frantically on the window.
• "Please! Help me!"
• The window rolled down. The copper smell of blood filled her nostrils.
• The door opened, and she saw a man sitting inside.
• The man seemed to be breathing heavily. The coppery blood became stronger.
• The girl's sweet aroma drove the man mad. He lunged at her like a wolf pouncing on its prey.
• "No…"
• She screamed, but the man didn't stop.
• She woke up lying on a large bed in a hotel room.
• She was completely naked. The bruises on her skin told her it wasn't a dream.
• There was a set of sports jerseys on the bedside table.
• And next to it was a check for five million.
• Rough and brutal. It was exactly the kind of thing the man from last night would do.
• She picked up a phone that had been left behind. There were multiple notifications for news app headlines.

• Luna clenched her hands into fists. She knew this was Edward's last resort to force her into giving him her mother's shares.
• If she couldn't stay in the country, she'll return after she was strong enough to settle the score with him.

• Six years later.
• Crownford International Airport.
• A slender woman walked out from the VIP passage with sunglasses covering her face.
• Two little boys wearing suits followed behind her. Their hair were in ringlets, and their big eyes shone.
• The woman looked over at the arrival area and saw fans waving signs and screaming, "Adrian! Adrian Finch…"
• "Mummy, who's Adrian Finch?"
• The boy on the left asked. His wide eyes filled with curiosity.
• Luna was about to say she didn't know him when a man stopped her.
• "Miss, could you help me with something?"
• The man's face was covered with a black mask and sunglasses. Jabbing a finger towards the fans screaming at the reception area, he clasped his hands together. "Please!"
• A few minutes later, a young couple, each carrying a child, exited the arrival gate.
• They were so attractive that wearing masks did nothing to hide their beauty. People stared at them as they walked past.
• Even the fans of the idol were murmuring among themselves, "They look like the perfect family!"
• "But don't you think the man looks like Adrian?"
• "He just resembles him. Adrian isn't married. Where would he get the children from?" A fan retorted back, annoyed.
• "It was just an observation. He just really looks like Adrian!"
• The fan did not back down.
• Once outside of the airport, they found a secluded spot. Adrian set the little boy down and turned to Luna. "Thank you. It's thanks to you I was able to get out of there so quickly!"
• "You're welcome!"
• Luna led both boys by the hand and got ready to leave, but the man stopped her. "My name is Adrian Finch. Would you mind telling me your name, miss?"
• "Luna Smith!" Luna introduced herself. "These are my sons, Paxton and Daxton."
• "Are they twins?" Adrian's eyes widened in surprise. He looked at the two boys with interest. "They are identical!"
• "Yup! They are twins!"
• Seeing Luna's collected self, Adrian took off his mask.
• He expected her to scream in surprise. However, he was met with calm indifference.
• Instead, Luna removed her sunglasses and nodded at Adrian. "If there isn't anything else, I'll be on my way."
• "Erm…" Adrian quickly stopped her. "Can I add you on social media?"
• "Sorry, but I don't have any social media."
• "How about your phone number?" Realizing Luna wouldn't give it away so easily, Adrian quickly added, "I'll be able to reach you if you end up on the news."
• Luna gave it some thought before finally giving in and gave him her social media handle.
• Arthur stared at her after they added each other. Did she take him for a fool?
• They waved goodbye out of politeness.
• Once they were some distance away, Adrian tapped open a chat room with someone called Tyrant and sent a voice message.
• "I just met two little boys at the airport, and they looked exactly like you when you were little."
