Chapter 44 Our Accusations

• “Any idea what Alayah is doing?” Grandma asks from the kitchen and Nero tells her that Dad and Mara took her to dinner. “They are at Jesse’s diner, they serve the best food in our Pack. I doubt she will love it as much as your cooking, Grandma.” Nero says and Grandma says she helps him hope that or Grandma might kick his ass. “I want front row tickets to that.” Khal says and I am laughing my ass off, not caring that everyone stares at me.
• “Sorry, Grandma. I wasn’t laughing at you, but Khal said he wanted front row tickets when you kick Nero’s ass.” I manage to say before I start laughing again and this time I am joined by everyone, except for Nero of course. My Brothers and I are seated together with Anton at one end of the table, while Grandma, Grandfather, Uncle Paul and Uncle Rex are sitting on the other end of the table and I ask Grandma why both families have Sunday dinner when there is nothing connecting the families.
