• “Why didn’t you send Crystal to a Mate meeting before?” I ask but before he can answer me there is a knock on the door and Dad gets up to open the door for the Omega that has our coffee.
• We wait in silence as she is placing everything on the coffee table, she seems to notice something is wrong and her eyes keep glancing in my direction. Every time our eyes meet I smile at her and Topaz pushes forward to show her that we outrank her. Dad follows her to the door to close it behind her and I see her glancing at the tray she used to bring in the coffee, the moment the door closes Topaz pushes forward to grab the tray.
