Chapter 24 The Fourth Day Of (1)- Book One
- The next morning, I was surprised not to have had a dream. I wondered if Galen had one or not. I stretched my arms and yawned to wake up. Then I laid back down and began to think of last night and our date. I couldn’t believe what a great time I had. We drove through the country roads in the moonlight and found a quiet place to pull over and park. There was a lake in front of us, and the moons light reflecting off the water was like a dream.
- I was so admiring the sight when Galen turned to me taking my hands in his, and before he spoke he was no longer as Porter but my Galen as he said. “I felt when I gave you that ring…” He touched the ring on my left hand and continued, “I had not properly asked you, and it was as Porter and not as myself. So, Rayana Lynnae Karver I love you forever and always will, will you do me the great honor of marrying me and be in my life forever?”
- I stared at him and all the love I felt for this wonderful man came flooding through me as I said, “Yes, with all my heart, Yes!” He brought me closer to him, and as his lips were coming towards me, I whispered, “I love you.” Then his lips captured mine. My heart began to beat so fast, and tingles were felt all over my entire being. I brought myself closer to deepen the kiss.
