Chapter 18 Fun Day- Book One

• A few days later after much-needed togetherness with Porter and myself. My mother and Bryden and Porter’s father Derrik called for another important meeting to discuss the current situation and about our safety. This time Luziann went with them.
• Kieran, Porter and I decided to have a fun day to take our minds off things. Surprisingly it was a sunny, warm day, and most all the snow had melted off. We decided to start out riding, Porter rode Star and Kieran, and I rode double on Eazy. We went in the opposite direction from the lake this time and an hour later found a beautiful open field when; I couldn't help myself and told Kieran to hold on and kicked Eazy giving her head with the reins, and she took off on a dead run. Porter followed behind on Star.
• It felt so good and made me laugh when Kieran began laughing and Porter joining us in laughter. We needed this so much with what we been through, and it was such fun, and the meadow was so large. I braked the horse and jumped off as I was feeling free today with no concerns of any attempted kidnapping that I spread my arms and spun around feeling the sun on my face and Kieran jumped off joining me. I landed on the grass on my back and laid there looking up at the sky enjoying the warmth of the day. A shadow came over me, and I moved my head more back and saw Porter standing above me smiling.
