Chapter 31
- Victoria didn't recognize herself anymore. Even though she saw her face in the reflection of the rearview mirror, she couldn't see herself in the image, even though it was clear, that her curious eyes were focused on her all the time.
- She leaned her head on the beige leather seat and opened the window, feeling the wind touch her face and drying the tear that ran down her left eye. Even though she discreetly wiped it away, it insisted on being there, reminding her of the sadness entrenched within her, reminding her of her damaged heart, and of the internal void that seemed never to heal.
- She was empty, completely hollow, and after feeling like this for so long, our brains started to look for ways to fill this void. Sometimes with beneficial and positive actions, other times with impulsive and irresponsible actions.
