• Right after talking to Marina, Damiano and Victoria returned to finish the process that would keep the redhead's enrollment locked for a determined period. The secretary handed her some documents to sign, and while she was busy trying to initial all the endless pages, she noticed how the girl was being friendly—too friendly—with Damiano.
• Victoria couldn't tell if her irritation stemmed from locking her college enrollment or the audacity of the brunette throwing herself at a guy who was obviously taken. She didn't know they weren't a real couple, and that was another reason she should have exercised more caution before being so forward.
• She finished signing quickly and approached the older man, who smiled politely at the curly-haired girl.
